As i wander around London i always take photos on my phone, ofcourse i usually forget to put them up here.

do not consume the water feature

Recently I was told to meet someone at the fountain at trafalgar square.

The person was from London, and yet still didn’t specify which fountain at trafalgar, which ofcourse is madness, as there is two.

Regardless of that, was the fountain itself, which you can see in the above picture.

It was ok, for a fountain, if you are into fountains.

What i like about the fountain is the little sign

“not safe for public consumption”

Now i know why that sign is there, because they need to stop people from consuming the water, that is obvious.

My question would be how many people who can speak english would be likely to consume fountain water in London.

Surely the people who may consume pure faountainy goodness would be people from countrries where reading English isn’t a priority.

Either way it is a great sign, and what i like best about it is that it doesn’t ruin the aesthetic of this monument at all.
